Red Bullets:
Claim: An anonymous entry on UPB Freedom Wall claims that the limited face-to-face classes will most probably include the graduating batch and those courses that need F2F for their outputs.
Rating: Partly False (Unproven)
The truth: Memorandum No. CCLA 22-01 did not specify who is subject to limited face-to-face classes.
Why fact-check: Prior to this entry, numerous anonymous entries on UPB Freedom Wall raised concerns about the possibility of face-to-face classes.
Red Totality: An Oct. 27 post on Facebook page UPB Freedom Wall claimed that limited face-to-face (F2F) classes at the University of the Philippines Baguio (UPB) will “most probably” prioritize only graduating batches and degree programs that need such a setup. UPB Freedom Wall is a page where individuals can send their entries through a site collecting anonymous entries such as confessions etc. The page mostly contains thoughts of individuals that they cannot post personally on their accounts.
The claim is partly false and unproven. It is true that there will be a chance to start the limited face-to-face classes this year however, UPB Admin has yet to specify those who will be allowed on campus.
The talk about face-to-face classes resuming in UPB beginning on the second semester of Academic Year 2021-22 began after a Vaccination Headcount survey disseminated by UPB Health Services Office were sent on the e-mails of the students around October 2021. The survey asks for the vaccination status of the students such as the dates of the doses, the brand of vaccine, and vaccination priority group.
On December 2, 2021, the UP Baguio University Student Council said in a statement that UPB was yet to apply for limited face-to-face classes to CHED and IATF. Only a limited number of students will be allowed on campus thus retrofitting the rooms should be done. The second semester will be used as a preparatory period for the gradual and safe resumption of classes. Hence, another survey form was circulated on the gradual opening of campuses which measures the readiness of students if they were to go back to the campus.
As of January 2, 2022, UP Baguio posted on its Facebook page that they are preparing and waiting. The caption read “It is the second day of January 2022. The University of the Philippines Baguio is... PREPARING. WAITING.”

On January 3, 2022, UP Baguio released a memorandum for its employees indicating that limited face-to-face classes will start in the 2nd semester of A.Y. 2021-2022 or by February 2022. The claims on the entry previously mentioned are yet to be proven as the memo does not specify the selected undergraduate and graduate programs.
